In conclusion of her ERC project SACRIMA, Chiara Franceschini will give a lecture series on “Arcipelagoes of Images: Art and Inquisition in the Early Modern Period” as Guest Professor at the EHESS in Paris.

At the EHESS, Chiara will present her work on image normativity in Renaissance and Early Modern art through some exemplary cases at the intersection of the history of art, the materiality of religious cult forms and the transcultural geography of images in the early Mediterranean.
