Bernat de Angay, a French-born prisoner claims to have read in the Apocalypse that the images should not be venerated

The French-born prisoner Bernat de Angay claims to have read in the Apocalypse “that an angel came to speak to St John and wanted to worship him, and that the angel told him not to worship him but God alone, and that from there he said that there were to be no idols or Christs but only to worship God, because idols were made of man!”. And that God gave the “law to Moyssen to give to the people” where “he had put in it before the ten commandments that we should worship neither gods nor goddesses but God alone”.

The French-born prisoner Bernat de Angay, who claims to have read in the Apocalypse “que viniendo un angel a hablar a St Joan le havia querido adorar, y que el angel le havia dicho que no le adorasse sino a solo Dios, y que por alli sacaa que no havia de haver ymagines ni Cristos sino solamente adorar a Dios, porque las ymagines eran hechas de hobre!”. And that God gave the “ley a Moyssen para que la diesse al Pueblo” where “havia puesto en ella antes de los diez mandamientos que no adorassemos ydolos ni ymagines sino a solo Dios”.
