Sacrima is a five-year project (2016–2021) supported by the European Research Council and based at the LMU, Munich. The Sacrima team studies the normativity of sacred images in early modern Europe, looking afresh at relations between art, image, cult and law through a new questioning and investigation of both visual and textual materials in five main European areas.
